I heard this on Dr. Demento way back in the 70s and the fragments I recall have been a recent earworm. The song details a bizarre boarding house the singer lived in. I'm pretty sure my memories of the lyrics are pretty scrambled. Enough so that searching on google and YouTube has been a bust.
Fragments I recall:
title/chorus: "Mrs Mc[Cleary's?] Boarding House.
The lines: When the dog died we had [?], when the cats died catnip tea, when her [husband] died I left there, spare ribs were too much for me.
The tune was close to WLIIA's "Hoedown ".
Any leads appreciated!
