Hey all! I'm looking for a PC game from my childhood. I was born in '95 and I recall playing it on my mom's computer when I was pretty little, so it must have been 1990's. I definitely played it before I could read/understand well, because I was terrible at it and my older brother made most of the progress. It was a point and click adventure game, but there might have been some small pieces of platforming I don't remember. My parents mostly got us edutainment games, so it could have been one even though I don't recall any academic content.
The game was about a yellow kid (think Simpsons) building a drill to save his talking dog from the criminals who kidnapped him. You had to get through a building full of criminals and I specifically remember finding a security monitor system in the sketchy basement. To build the drill, you had to make a battery out of stuff like maple syrup and orange juice. I remember the kid had a habit of screeching annoyingly often, and it was pretty funny and story heavy to kid me.
Any help would be great! I remember really enjoying it, so I'd love to try to find a way to play it again if I can. Thanks! 💖
