Hulu used to have a gay collection and when I was a teenager I was obsessed with it. I'm currently trying to hunt down as many of those old films as I can remember and am currently stuck on this one-
It involved a sex worker who I kind of think identified as 'X'? and he was wealthy and rented out the rooms of his house/apartment to two ofther guys. One of them was a young wild out of control gay who really wanted to sleep with the main character- and the other was a black gay guy that the sex worker was in love with, but 'would never give him a chance'.
It followed both their love story, and also touched on his relationship with his clients. There was an old man who never actually wanted to have sex with him, but they'd talk about .... his relationship? from the past? the boy he could never get/maybe it was a childhood romance- but he definitely like, implies the boy died and part of the movie is about the sex worker finding out that the old man has been lying to him this whole time. That the fanciful story he's been spinning never happened and the other man is still alive.
