I remember reading this when I was probably a preteen, so around early 2000s, but the book MIGHT have been a little older? I remember the paperback looked new, though, like not beat up and the art looked contemporary.
Anyway it was about a girl who was raised and probably born on another planet that Earthlings were possibly looking to terraform. All I really remember is that she had orange skin. There was a romance, as well. Definitely YA.
