I am looking for this parable or story I recently read on Facebook. It may have had religious connotations, but I'm not sure. I've searched on Facebook and Googled it, but can't find it. And I have no idea who posted it. If anyone could send me a link or something I could post to Facebook, that would be ideal.
Basically the story goes that this man enters a restaurant and sits down and orders his food. He's waiting and waiting, but it's taking forever. Later on, these two women come in, sit down, order, and get their food pretty quickly. They order something basic, but they're super happy that they already have their food.
Seeing this, the man gets fed up and summons someone over to his table to complain. So someone comes over, and he basically explains how he arrived before the two women and they got their food first, and essentially says, what gives!?
Long story short that man had to wait because the chef was cooking something extra special for him, and when he finally got his meal, it was like the best and fanciest dish the restaurant had, and it was made just for him.
So in the end, the lesson was that when life doesn't go your way for a long time, you have to trust the journey and be patient, because something greater is in store for you.
Can anyone help me find this story so I can share it on Facebook?
Thanks!!! ❤️❤️
