Not a very helpful title, I know. There are thousands of silly weightlifting fail clips like this on the internet, but I happen to recall a few specific details in this clip that might make it a little easier to locate.
It was a very short clip (I'm guessing 15-30 seconds long) that I think I saw in one of those old FailArmy compilation videos; if not specifically from that channel, then one of the many, many other "fail" compilation channels that were really big back in the mid 2010s.
The camera was positioned facing directly towards this sort of older-looking dude lifting a large weight over his head in what looked to be an ordinary home workout room. He was very close to the wall behind him and was either seated on a chair or kneeling on the ground, and to his left (right from the viewers perspective) was an open door with a view of a hallway.
Here's where we strike comedy gold though—or at least what my brain considers the peak of slapstick humour. I can't remember what exactly went wrong, but the man drops the weight and it falls on either his arm or his chest, which causes him to scream in absolute terror for but a moment only to realise a second later that he was completely fine (thankfully), the weight having rolled off his body harmlessly.
I must stress that his scream was one of pure, primal, UNRESTRAINED horror, and the comical contrast between how clearly terrified the poor man was for his life for that brief moment and how harmless the accident ended up being is what has permanently etched this clip into my mind.
After he comes back to his senses, he gets up, clearly in a state of dismay and embarrassment, and walks through the doorway on the right, which is where the clip ends. I also vaguely remember someone (probably a family member) walking past the door shortly after the scream to check up on him before continuing on their way.
I've had no luck locating the clip by watching old weightlifting fail compilations, so I'm hoping someone here might possess superior media sleuthing skills and can help me locate the clip so I can be disappointed when it's nowhere near as funny as I remember it being in my mind.
