I know this sounds silly, but I remember going to a sci-fi convention in the late 80's It would have been late 1987-early 1989. They showed a clip from I think a horror/thriller movie. I remember there was a scene with a camera panning from left to right through a convenience store in the dark. The camera pans across a stand of comic books/magazines in the foreground in front of the counter. Not a spinner, but like a rack against the counter. It sticks out in my mind because a then recent issue of DC comics Star Trek series was prominent, and recognizable because it was a special cover with just the Starfleet delta.

I know this is a long shot, but there couldn't have been that many movies in that 1-2 year span. I don't even know why I remember it, but my ADHD brain has remembered it once a year or so for 10 years now, and I would love to get some peace from that random thought that hit me in the shower this morning! I appreciate everyone!
