I vividly remember a scene from a show where this girl is being held with a gun to her head and the bad guy standing behind her. The main character goes to rescue her and tells bad guy to let her go or he'll shoot. Bad guy says "if you shoot I'll still be able to pull the trigger before I die". And main character guy says "not if I take out your brain stem". Bad guy says "that's an impossible shit" and right as he finishes saying that the main character immediately gets a shot off, hitting the right spot to instantly kill the bad guy. And the day was saved.
