I think it was released recently, maybe 1 or 2 years ago. The mian story revolved around a kid and his mom who had cancer, and this kid was visited by a monster , which is described to be tree like and older than the earth itself. The tree visits usually at night, and told the kid 3 stories, one about a kingdom, another about a guy whose children died because he was selfish and the 3rd one was when the kid(main character) went on a rampage in school. The tree's main point was to make the kid accept that his mom had cancer.
Do you guys know this? its really at the tip of my tongue
