Late 90s/early 2000s Novel about commedienne and her two adult daughters.
The mother as a child was painfully shy/chubby and learned she was funny at sleep away camp in the Catskills. She grew up and went into comedy. She was overweight and often poked fun of herself. After a health scare she loses weight dramatically and there is a scene where her daughters see her are shocked at healthy and at peace she is....maybe?
One of the daughters dates a recently divorced guy. She is overweight as is he, but she describes feeling small with him. The other daughter is thin and is having a career crisis I think?
I can barely remember this book, but parts of it are in my head often. Please help me!
