Hi! My friend and I were talking about that Cicada3301 thing that happened online a few years back, and it got me remembering what I recall being a viral marketing campaign for a foreign movie.
What I remember was a strange url that looked like a normal Google homepage, and if you searched anything you'd just get redirected to Google results.
If you hit, "I'm Feeling Lucky", the page would spin around, go dark, flash some red logo (I think) and then display what LOOKED like a live feed of a girl in white clothes trapped in a small, white room. The stream would never go down and she was always doing something different when I would check in, like laying in the corner, sitting in the middle of the room, or walking around it aimlessly.
Does anyone else recall this? It was pretty spooky, but I remember it being revealed as some kind of next level advertising.
