So i've been searching and thinking for over a week now. Im looking for a PC game that was popular in the years 2007-2010. It was game focused on driving/racing and i remember vividly as a kid watching videos about it on Youtube. The game had a popular mod community and most of the videos I watched were about driving random cars around in first person view around a germanic town/autobahn. The cars ranged from random Diesel VW Golfs to Vipers and etc. Ive already disregarded Rfactor and City car driving as those came later or dont really feature that kind of map/cars. If anybody has a clue or a link i would highly appreciate it.

EDIT 1: Sorry for not giving as much info as possible before, I will do so now. So the games main focuse in those videos was definietly more about Open world driving, not racing. There were no lap timers and etc. The graphics look straight out of 2005-2007, they were okay for the time but thinking back the game lacked shadows and AA. More about the cars-they ranged from everything to literally everything. I remember videos about totally random cars like-Peugeot 206, Renault meganes, Diesel audi a4s to Lamborghini Gallardos. As much as i remember of the map it resembled a really basic map of northern/western germany-not many hills, mainly some basic houses that you could drive into the driveways of and some highways(autobahn). To you guys i can definietly rule out all the mentioned games-NFS games, TDU 1 and 2, Gran Turismo series as well as the Forza Series. It was more of a niche game with high modability
