Similar to Abi: A Robot's Tale's artstyle and premise:
"One day in the distant future, the obsolete household robot Abi finds the hibernating industrial robot DD, and together they escape the warehouse in which they have been locked away. Once they get out, they discover that humans have mysteriously disappeared from the earth. Where did the humans go and what can explain their disappearance? Itβs up to you, Abi, and DD to find out."
Also reminds me of how Limbo and Inside looks.
I remember playing the game in question long ago, perhaps from 2012-2017.
But you play as a man ( I think starting at his workplace. Not sure if he just woke up or something). I remember that most (if not all the rest) of humanity is gone, and you have to find out why and leave the building you're in with lots of backtracking and environmental puzzles. Bleak eerie atmosphere, 2D game. Gloomy and dead silent atmosphere (could've had sounds, just looks like abandoned environment). Dark cold colors. Buildings you go throughout are out of maintenance.
Not entirely sure on this but I would imagine sometimes buildings or environment if not solved correctly, can kill you. Not specifically but as an example not fixing gas leaks or avoiding electric wires.
Left and right movement mostly, your character you see as 2D side view. I'm not sure if there were stairs or multiple platforms, maybe.
Out of the blue just really wanted some help on remembering this nice game. Thank you!
It's hard to think of it but I will try to think of more things.
