Post Body

Platform(s): PC

Genre: Action, First Person Shooter

Estimated year of release: Between 2007-2010 estimatedly (could be earlier, but that's around the time I remember playing it) So after searching more and more, I'm of the opinion that the game is from 2002-2005 era. Again, estimatedly

Graphics/art style: Don't remember much about the graphics, but I suppose the closest comparison would be like I.G.I. 2. Half Life also comes close in the comparison sphere

Notable characters: I don't remember much aside from the soldier and the final boss being a giant ghoul. The final boss also had a giant reaper like sickle and has a hood. I remember fighting it with an assault rifle and some grenades. The ghouls would wear hoods.

Notable gameplay mechanics: Not a lot, but maybe the fact that most of the action is done in buildings or atop skyscrapers can prove to be helpful?

Other details: You are a soldier who faces terrorists and supernatural beings such as ghosts, skeletons and ghouls. Whenever a ghost kills an ally player or a terrorist, their skeleton is the only thing that remains. Final boss was a large ghoul like creature. Their chains would turn into some kind of plates that would help them float on water. Most of the action took place in buildings or atop skyscrapers.

I know I'm not describing it that good, but this is the most I remember unfortunately xD

A Bit More:

  • It has a serious vibe to it. Story wise as well
  • Also the main character had no magic abilities as far as I remember, despite the supernatural shit in the game
  • No Nazi imagery either so no it's not Wolfenstein
  • So I did a bit of research and it looks a lot like Chaser (2003) so if that helps

Important Update: After some reflection, I'm beginning to think I'm mixing the tank bit with another game (I don't know if that's the case or not) so if you can ignore that part temporarily that might help
