When you got to the end of a stage, it would ask you a philosophical question e.g. should the death penalty be allowed. As you progressed through the stages, it would build up a philosophical profile and would tell you which historical philosopher matched your outlook.
The 'boss battles' were against 3 massive entities that represented mind, body, and soul. The battles would be a puzzle with hexagon tiles that you could turn, the aim was to win more tiles on the board than the boss.
