I played the game prior to 2010, but definitely after 2005. Gameplay involved a robot that would shoot cables in a straight line, crearing walls, in order to restrict the movment of some aliens/robots. This would eventually trap them causing them to die. Game had an interesting art style, you might call it 'hyperrealistic'. Each sprite was highly detailed, uncharacteristicly so for the time. Im not certain, but I think the game could be found on the old ArcadeTown, among demos of games like tasty planet. In addition, im 90% sure the game had a sequel/prequel/spinoff that was set in the ocean, rather than space (which I am also looking for)
