Post Body

Platform(s): PC only AFAIKGenre: RTS, but you could enter the different units and play as that unitEstimated year of release: 98-2004Graphics/art style: From what I remember the game mode that I played took place in a cave/cavern. The draw distance was pretty low and like games of the period there was a "fog" that was used to try to hide the draw distance limitations. I remember the enemy or friendly vehicles units were yellow. This could be wrong but I think the graphics looked a bit like Starfox 64Notable characters: I remember very specifically that there was a scout hover thing that could shoot some type of weapon. I am not sure what the other vehicles were but I think there were about 3 in total.Notable gameplay mechanics: I know it sounds like that lego mining game but it wasnt that. I think that you were trying to mine ore of some sort. I remember something about having to build different facilities that would allow you to continue to upgrade stuff. The most memorable thing about the game was that you could pick a unit and control it in third person. I also remember something about calling for help from other units while in third person.Other details: I believe this game had lan capability, but I only ever fought AI. I did own this game on CD ROM, but I do not have it anymore. I think it was only 1 v 1, but that could be wrong as well.

Glad I found this sub, this game has been bothering me for years. Would love to play it again.

Edit - I did some quick googling and actually found it referenced in another past Reddit post.
