I am trying to remember the name of an arcade style shooter that I had on PC in the early 2000's. It was a top down, vertical scroller in the same vein as 1942.

It was a sci-fi theme where you flew over the surface of a planet, you could upgrade your weapons as you went.

Found it - The game was Star Monkey. There doesn't seem to be any way to buy it now but I found a demo online, unfortunately it doesn't seem to like Windows 10.
