Platform(s): PC
Genre: Role playing game, first person/third person
Estimated year of release: late 1990s/early 2000s
Graphics/art style: Very colorful alien world. The terrain was voxels, not polygons, but the NPCs were all polygons. Otherwise it's System Shock 2 era of gaming.
Other details: You play the role of a human who has landed on an alien world.
To save the game, one of the characters tells you to squeeze a green(?) crystal called a "gaam saav" (an obvious corruption of the words "game save"). That was how you saved the game.
I think the name was something like "Outlander". Some term that describes the protagonist as an alien in oblique terms.
