[PS1] Shooter with giant roaches?

I never got past the initial area but I do remember that it was a shooter. Leaning towards it being a third person shooter but might have been 1st person as well.
Only a few details come to mind. You were in a spaceship I think, or rather in a sci-fi ish area and it was full of giant roaches(or otherworldy enemeis). All I remember. Really want to play it now that I am not afraid of it anymore.
EDIT: THe character you were using might have been a girl.
