I work at the airport which is very noisy. Outdoors we are required to wear ear muffs while indoors we are only required to ear ear plugs. Both my muffs and plugs are 30 NRR and today was my first day inside so I wore my plugs.

The indoors area isn't as noisy as the outdoors so most people don't really wear ear pro but I did. I only didn't where them when talking to someone, or walking to or away from my station. My ear pro also made my ears ach after a few hours of use.

Once I got home I noticed my tinnitus is noticeably louder. The odd thing is, during the few days of training I didn't wear ear pro and never noticed a difference.
