I had tinnitus for two weeks, and it was one of the worst two weeks of my life. It eventually ended up going away, but I’ve been trying to go to bed today and it’s back again. I don’t wanna think the worst of situations but I’m worried my tinnitus might be a symptom of something more serious…
My tinnitus affects me a little differently to most people I’ve seen on this Reddit page. Usually it comes on with no explanation or reason. I am a heavy user of earphones though so they are a likely culprit. My ears only ring when I am moving, and it’s not a ringing sound but a whooooshing sound (although I get ringing too). It happens when I’m moving around, moving my jaw/swallowing and also when people are talking to me I hear a whooshing echo. When I lie down the sound completely stops and everything is silent, and that works better when I’m sleeping on one side rather than the other.
I managed to “cure” it the previous time but I’m not sure exactly what it was. I actually found someone on here who was the closest to the same symptoms I had, and he recommended some sort of laser head movement exercise?? It was in German so I didn’t follow it too well but maybe 2/3 days after consistently doing it my tinnitus went away! BUT I don’t know if it happened because my tinnitus was temporary or because the exercises worked.
Anyways, I will try the laser exercises again when I can buy one and I will see if it works. If so maybe this can help someone who has similar symptoms to me because I know how frustrating and hopeless it can be knowing that there aren’t any effective cures.
