Have had tinnitus and sudden loss of hearing for almost a year now
Post Body

I woke up one day after a nap to my left ear feeling clogged accompanied with ringing. I kept trying to yawn, stretch my jaw, etc. to discover that I also couldn't hear anything out of that ear as well. The ringing had been 3 tones: high, medium, low. It fluctuates in tone, but it was constant. Almost a year later, after MRI's, intratympanic injections, ultrasounds and many ENT visits, nothing has changed and they don't know why it happened. The ENT specialist suspects it was due to my pregnancy (this all happened in my 3rd trimester, will note that I had no blood pressure issues). Its become easier to ignore after this time, and I've adjusted my life fairly well to it (lots of white noise and mindfulness). But some days when I find myself in a quiet room, I just sit and fester in anger and frustration. Frustrated that I can never enjoy silence again, and anger because it seems that I'm stuck this way and don't even know the cause. I'm often worried I'll wake up to my right ear without hearing, as Ive noticed ringing in it as well.

Has anyone gone through something similar? Have you found any ways to help your tinnitus or to help in dealing with it?
