Is this actually tinnitus?

Post Body

My English is not very good, so sorry for the spelling mistakes.

Since July 1, I have had an irregular, fluctuating low-pitched hum in my left ear. It started while watching a video on yt. This accidentally jumped to 100% volume (idk why), I immediately got a sting/pain in my left ear and it radiated to my jaw. I had terrible pain the following days. The low hum has diminished, but has not gone away completely. The reason for the title of this topic is that if I put my finger or a well-sealing earplug in my left ear, it almost completely disappears. (something with air pressure?)

In the meantime I have been to the jaw physiotherapist (referred by the GP), but he thinks it is my jaw. I was given jaw massage exercises, which I perform well. But I still don't notice any improvement. The jaw pain has also completely disappeared now btw.

It's probably a long shot, but maybe you have Trigeminal Neuralgia? This was the root cause of my tinnitus, although they did not come on at the same time, the Trigeminal Neuralgia came on about 5 months before the tinnitus.

Pretty much the same for 6 years about 2 'good' days per week and the rest I can hear it all the time. Constant static sound.
