I’ve been dealing with tinnitus after a loud music event since march 17. I’m unfortunately accepting that I’m doomed to simply exist miserably rather than “live” as I realize this will never go away. I went on 2 weeks of prednisone and surprise surprise, still there.
I stopped smoking cold turkey, stopped coffee, haven’t used my AirPods, rarely listen to music anymore, scared to hang out with friends at bars, scared to go to the movies, definitely never going to a sports game, missed a concert that was a tradition I go to since I was very young, don’t listen to music in the car anymore, scared to go to the gym, things like that… pretty miserable to add to my existing misery.
Aside the fact I feel like everything is pointless now already, and knowing this will never go away and will inevitably get worse as I get older anyway, should I even bother restricting things like coffee or music or going to the movies etc? Does it really make a difference? I know it won’t get better, but will these things make it substantially worse very quickly?
Thanks all
