When I was in middle school I quickly became aware that not everyone wore tighty whities like my brothers and I. My first middle school there was only some light teasing, but when I switched schools in 7th grade it was very different. There was a lot more teasing and name calling in the locker room, and one guy was pantsed multiple times showing off his FTLs. Not wanting to be embarrassed in the same way I quickly and sheepishly asked my mom for boxers. She bought me a pack and I started wearing them on gym days.

My step father had always been a white briefs guy, just like his dad. He would always get dressed for work in the living room in the morning after he showered so seeing his Hanes briefs was a constant occurrence. When I started wearing boxers I also started sagging a little because it was cool at my school. My step father absolutely hated this and on more than one occasion if he saw my boxers he made me change into a pair I wouldn’t show off, and that meant back to my FTL tighty whities. This was embarrassing for me and we had a few arguments and I won none of them.

I learned to pack boxers in my backpack on gym days and put them on over my tighty whities when I got to school. This happened pretty often until 8th grade.
