My mother is a devoted Christian woman, been Baptiste, reads her Bible each night.
Me not so much. I'd more spiritual. Not to say that I don't belive in some higher power, nor do I think that since is wrong on the big bang (insert fancy) theories.
Today is my mother's birthday! Which my sister and I call and sing happy birthday to each year. Now the conversion when on just fine until we started to talk about her falls, she said and I quote " I pray to Jesus that I don't fall everytime I get out of the bed." Quicking responding "mom, why do you pray to Jesus and not God?" Silence, I could feel my sister sweating at this point.. "I don't know?" Came out of her mouth. This is when I realized what I'd done. Question my mother's thoughts and she couldn't say anything. My sister swiftly comes in with a distracting comment about her tree in the front yard and my mother was having none of that.
We come back to my wonderful Question once more. All I wanted from her is knowledge legitimately! But she was unable to complete anything " I read in John 14.." So my sister's phone when dead, So Silent in fact you could hear a mouse fart. I go on to to speak about the holy trinity " So it's the father, son, and the holy ghost. Right?" My mom says my sister name in panic as if she could somehow help explain this.. she still had us on mute lol. "So, mom. Is this because they are the same 3 people?"
Needless to say.. the conference call was finally over do to a failed joke. But I still want to know? Why do you pray to God and not Jesus or even the holy ghost?
Tldr - asked my mom a question about person belives and she couldn't answer. Also when should I call her back.
Sorry about the grammar!
