One of my close friends has been telling me about his budding friendship and then love with one of his co-Workers over last 6 months. He had told her about him feelings several times and she had said and showed same about him. Everyone who knows both of them knew that these tWo are getting married soon. Yesterday out of nowhere, she informed him that she's going to marry someone else, because he's nice too. My friend is really sad and when he was telling me about this couldn't help myself but laugh as I'm very repellent to romance and think it's bs. But I've come to know that he has lost sleep and appetite over this. Now this has made me real angry for not behaving. Also, I think it is very unfair to use someone as emotional support and dump out of nowhere and this girl is going to answer for that. Any suggestions in how to help improve the situation are welcome. TL;DR I laughed at heart broken friend's misery. He felt bad since we're very close.
