I am 14 yr male. The day started off pretty boring so I asked my friend if he wanted to go skatepark with me so we went first 90 minutes were fine and I wore only my right wrist pad (never again I would advise you the same) so I attempted a trick on a around 6ft quarter (I'm 5'6) I fell backwards and landed on my left wrist (that didn't have a pad on it) the moment I realised it was broken I rushed over to shade (it was like 30°C) called my parents and my dad rushed me to the hospital I managed to keep my hand in the same position with my friends skateboard then they gave me one of them things to hold my hand and gave me pain killers and after 30 minutes or so later didn't work so they gave me morphine. Shortly after went for xrays and the doctor told me not only I dislocated it but broke it (the dislocation was mad I have a picture 5 mins after it happened). They put half cast on the wrist I broke and thought they could manipulate it that way to go back into place (didn't work) and they told me I will have surgery next day to put my wrist back into place and put a metal rod in my hand to help it heal. Next day, I waited for the doctors to come and take me. They put me to sleep and what felt like 2 seconds I woke up felling tired then ever so I slept for 3 more hours and im here now. Moral of the story wear both wrist pads not just one. If you're ever scared to go for surgery don't be because no matter how long it is if they put you to sleep it will feel like 3 seconds passed
TL/DR I didn't wear both wrist pads and got put in hospital
