TLDR/ at bottom

So work has been a bit slow as of late but I am super thankful to have a job right now. This morning I got to thinking that the end of the year is fast approaching and I, as will many out there have to start looking at health insurance for the new year. Very dreadful time for all involved. Last year I decided to forgo the health insurance all together. It was a conscience decision I made at the time. I could afford it but 400$ a month doesnt even get you decent insurance anymore from what i remeamber when i was looking at the different plans last year. So i said fuck it and went on with my life. I tallyed up as best i could all my 2 in person and 3 virtual dr visits as my perscriptions then added 500 $ on it for misc things i may have missed and compared that to what i would have paid and I was well over 3k in savings for the year. Sad state of affairs our insurance system imo here in the States. The whereabouts of that extra money are unknown at this time that will take sommore digging. Anyway i was kind of over joyed even tho we still got a month in a half left in the year which my luck could certingly change. I was talking to a coworker about it and also mentioned it to my boss.

This is the fuck up: Aparently, and this obviously slipped my mind they quit doing a copay coverage a few years ago here because it got too expensive for the company and in turn boosted our wages considerably to compensate and allow us to go out and get our own insurance. As soon as i told him he went quiet for a few minutes and just stared at me. I asked what was wrong and he kinda angerly explained that they were giving me money for insurance. I kinda side stepped and said you heard me wrong, that would have been the savings if i hadnt of got insurance half serious and he def saw right through that bs. He walked away and then left with out saying a word. I got an email a half hour later asking me to meet in his office fri to discuss. I dunno why i mentioned it at all to anyone but i am a bit nervous to say the least.
