I got up today and made coffee for us thinking it would be a nice gesture since she has to have her coffee and we are both WFH right now. When I gave her the coffee, I mentioned that I filed for the stimulus check yesterday eve and that she should do the same this morning because March 5th (today) is the deadline. Side note: We had debated filing for it since we weren’t desperate and we felt others needed it more (but I was like screw that after I read unemployment rose to 20% while the 1% added $7 billion to their net worth in 1 week... I figured me being part of the 99% I should take the crumb that was offered. Sorry makes me mad sad seeing wealth distribution skyrocket in this country as of late). Anyway!!! Back to the story. After I tell her that I will send her the links and a few bullet points on what To do, she freaks out. Telling me that I should have told her right after I filed yesterday because I said to do it first thing. Since I had an error on the form and she might have the same issue, so don’t risk waiting till EOD. Then She starts telling me that no other husband/boyfriend would wait that long to let her know she should file. Then labeled it as I am hiding things. Which defeated into this being the exactly reason she is going to leave me at the end of the month. This is just another sign for her. I hide my money. She would never do that to me. I am totally disrespectful... I proceed to tune out for the additional 10 minutes of yelling (my neighbors must think I beat her or something). You get the idea. I’m just terrible (not saying I’m great. I most definitely am not). Now... of course she will be pissed for a few hours, not talk to me and point out every detail that I miss. I’m guessing it will be I didn’t put the seat down in the bathroom or I left something out or I forget her birthday last month or something. Long story short. I learned a hard lesson. (which I seem to have to keep on relearning over and over with her)No good dead goes unpunished. Next time, I will make sure to not remind her to file for free money. Thanks for giving me the only outlet I have to vent. Kinda sucks. Stay safe my friends. TLDR
