This happened a couple of years ago, but I still get a good laugh over it.
My mom and I both had a very fun relationship and were always willing to joke with and make fun of the other, in good spirits of course. (Cursing and sarcasm were plentiful growing up, along with an appreciation for dark comedy) My relationship with my dad was about as bad as my relationship with my mom was good. For reference, he died maybe a year or so before this happened.
I was doing something stupid and likely to blow up in my face, my mother watching and waiting for the inevitable. When said inevitable happened, she just laughed and said "I love you, son, but you can be a fucking idiot."
Seeing the perfect opportunity to turn this back around on her, and having been raised to give as good as I got, I quip back with "Oh most definitely, but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree does it?"
Now my mom was never great at deadpan deliveries, she would always be giggling or couldn't keep her face straight enough. But to her credit, she just walked away and said, casual as pie, "Don't speak ill of the dead."
She made it about 3 steps before we were both on the floor fucking howling. It took us a solid 5 minutes to get ourselves together, as each time we thought that it was dying down, something set us off again.
It was a really fun time and I treasure it dearly. She passed away two months ago and I miss her more each day, but it's the memories like these that keep her around.
Tl;Dr: My mom roasted my dad so hard he felt it in the afterlife.
