Preface this by this happened legit minutes ago, so I am now writing this to avoid a complete mental breakdown.

Okay so me and my sister have been watching over my neighbor's dog, hercules. I walk her, and my sister puts him in and out of the house. So I was walking herc (the nickname we all have for the dog) around my block, which is a nice suburb. So we are getting to the third corner, about to turn onto the small street that connects to my street, when we get to a bush. The dog, a big dog despite being not that old, decides to yeet himself towards the bush. No issue, he did it before and I was sure it was going to be fine. But then, suddenly his leash is on the ground, and him separate. I sprint forward, trying to grab the dog's collar (still attached lucky) while holding onto the leash. I had to sprint nearly the entire subdivisions length, about 3 long blocks, until he finally ran back towards me to let me put him on the leash. So I walk back down to where he got off the leash, and find the keyring, which his dog tag was attached, to was bent so much that the leash came off. Needless to say it was a fun old time walking back, with me paranoid that the collar would break again. I returned him to the neighbor's house, locked him back in the backyard, as was normal, and collapsed into my house. I am now waiting for the neighbor's reaction when they come home in like, 2 weeks I think?

in the meantime, I still have to walk him. OH BOY.

TL;DR Walking my neighbor's dog, tag broke, had to chase down dog, and am now waiting for the response of this.
