So I drive a semi- tanker in the northeast. This morning I was in New York City when I glanced to my left mirror and said "where did that suv go".

It is not uncommon for cars to ride with us, especially in heavy traffic on the expressways. Anyways I look hard to my drivers side to see a camera pointed in my face, and it was a big camera with a huge lens. Completely puzzled I had to look a second time, only to watch the suv pull in front of my truck.

Mind you we have dashcams in the cab. They are usually a menace, with their g sensor recording you breaking, it a bump in the road, cars cutting you off, however they have a Panic button feature. This button allows you to force the camera to record the current event, and after using it multiple times I was told to not play with the camera's panic button.

The guys were eastern European looking, and I sat there driving in dissolution about what I'm watching right now.

The back window goes up and this guy in the way back seat has a camera, I watched them shoot another photo of me, and of everything around as well. They are keeping up with traffic, and trying to keep some distance from me. I then developed a guy feeling that told me this is odd, I contemplated hitting the panic button.

This is about when I started thinking "this is not normal at all", and that is when I thought I would get close and hit the panic button on the camera, sure as shit, this garbage truck cuts me off and we climb the bridge, I panic and cut off this car, and speed up along side the garbage truck.

I then speed up in the left lane and watched these guys take photos of the bridge, in my attempt to hit the dash camera, I watched it blink which didn't tell me squat, as to weather it kept the footage or not.

Now these guys speed off before I could hit it again. I attempt to take chase, but in a tractor trailer, governed at 67mph I stood better luck winning the lottery.

I'm so disheartened, and frankly stunned. I really can't believe it took me so long to realize that I should have hit the button again, or done something else. I'm really down on myself, mainly because you think that something so obvious would have been a no brainer...

Yea I really feel like this is a TIFU post.

I called my boss, and he said well see what shows up on the camera, but I feel like this is time sensitive, like what if I caught a glimpse of Isis in America, or who knows. Since this happened this morning I cannot sleep, I've been shaking and it is very not normal. I've had close calls with death, and for some reason this just is affecting me differently.
