TIFU by telling a kid to stand up for himself.
Post Body

So I was at an ice skating rink with some friends when I got into a high five competition with one of them. As I got a high five from one he told me that he was having a rivalry with another kid at his party and asked me to fight him. I said thinking he was joking, "sure I will for 20 bucks".

He points out his friend and says, "that's him, his name's Nikolai ."

I continue to think he's joking and say, "yo I don't fuck with Russians."(yeah I accidentally said fuck to a middle schooler but I don't care). "You should stand up for yourself though always fight your own battles."

He agrees and leaves. Next thing I hear is some yelling as I look over I see the kid I told to stand up for himself in a choke hold from Nikolai. After a few seconds of the choke hold they stop fighting. Later on I have one of the kids friend come up to me saying they were fighting again as I walk over to where they are fighting I see the manager breaking them up. And telling them they have to leave. I walk up to the kid I told to stand up for himself and asked him what happened. He said, half in tears, "I hate this place I'm never coming back" he stormed past me and left.

Tl Dr told a kid to stand up for himself and got his whole party kicked out of the ice rink.

Edit: will add more details when I'm home
