Last night my wife wanted to watch fireworks from our neighborhood pool since the trees & houses on our street obstructed our view. We ended up being the last ones there & when we decided to leave we couldn’t get out since the pool gate automatically locks at 9pm & it was just a couple minutes after. We swiped our pass card multiple times & since I’m a board member on our HOA, I have a key to the clubhouse or so I thought. The door knob was unlocked but my keys wouldn’t work on the deadbolt so I called a neighbor to have them go through the front door & let us in but evidently the locks had been changed. I ended up climbing over the 7’ tall fence & going home to get a ladder to get my wife over the gate. Fortunately I didn’t aggravate my arthritic knee going over the fence, it has been several years since we’ve been to the pool & didn’t know about the 9:00 gate automatically locking. TL/DR Wife & I got locked inside our neighborhood pool while watching fireworks because we didn’t know the gate automatically locked at 9pm
