I MADE IT! Now typing this after landing in my destination with a mild headache (probably from both sleep deprivation and dehydration).
Since all the comments said to power through and sleep on the flight, that's what I did. 6am was ok, 7am felt shitty and I was not functioning very well by the time 8am rolled around. But I got myself an Uber and took a power nap on the way to the airport.
The flight was only 5 hours so it wasn't great for sleeping. And I kept being jerked away by turbulence and people bumping into me (I had an aisle seat). One elderly man seated in the row before me even had a dizzy spell and fell in the aisle (he was ok). What an eventful flight! But I'm glad it all worked out.
TLDR: procrastinated prepping for my trip, took Reddit's advice to power through and not sleep pre flight in case I missed it, made it onto the flight, had a relatively eventful flight. Now having a mild headache but glad I made it.
