I never posted here but thyroid cancer changed my life and I lost my independent. Anyone else have this happened?
Post Body

So long story short, I had TWO total thyroidectomies. Bc the first doctor botched it up MAJORLY! I don’t even know what she took out but it wasn’t my thyroid and she embedded parathyroid glands into my thyroid so I lost all but one in the second surgery. I knew something was wrong bc when the swelling went down I could still see my tumor! Second surgery was a neck dissection as I had spread to lymph nodes. Got radiation, TSH was 100, so very high and I moved like molasses. And I was never the same! I had progressive full body weakness from neck down. And 14, years later, never recovered ! They don’t know what to call it, so they call it idiopathic progressive polyneuropathy. I think that’s a good fit. I never got better! Best I’ve gotten was less and less weaker, but ANYTHING will throw me out of whack. A bout of vertigo last weekend, and my leg is still weaker than before. Having Thyroid cancer ruined my life!
