40m here , diagnosed with PTC in June of 2022. Had my total thyroidectomy in July of 2022. RAI treatment in May of 2023. For a bit my tumor marker was showing less than 0.1. However starting in January of 2024 , I had a series of three blood tests between now and then. The tumor marker came back as 0.3 for the first one , less than 0.1 for the second and the most recent once was at 0.5 . My Endo wanted to play it safe (and because it’s now a year since I had the RAI treatment) he wants me to get a full body scan on 9/20. I’m in the middle of my low iodine diet now. My thyroid cancer had spread to 2 out of 5 lymph nodes , but didn’t find out til after the surgery with the pathology report . Lymph nodes looked completely fine on any ultrasound I had done before and after TT. Hoping got clean results next Friday but you guys know how nerve wracking those hospital visits are , and to wait for the results .
