So, when I was coming of age back in the late 80s and early 90s, the term polyamory was not common, at least no one in my world used it, and it was a pretty diverse group of people. I have always struggled with monogamy, for very concrete reasons, although I will be absolutely in love with the person I am with. I love commitment. I love the intimacy and the connection. I have no interest in having a relationship outside of a primary relationship. Some years ago, a gf told me that I should go and have a family with a couple of women. I scoffed, and felt kind of insulted, but the truth is she was right. I am not polyamorous in the sense that I want multiple relationships, I am poly in the sense that I want an inclusive relationship of more than two.
Is that really too much to ask for?
