Why was Cheng Xin given Halo, the only light speed starship in the solar system? She had been in hibernation for decades and had basically nothing to do with it's development. In fact, you could argue that she was it's biggest opponent given that she handed over Halo city and all it's technology to the Federation government to prevent a potential war.

Why would the people who made Halo even remotely consider giving it to her? I know she owned the Halo company before Wade but it was no longer was her company after the government seized all the assets and took over Halo city. I know Luo Ji says there was no time for anything else but that seems like such a weak argument. How were none of the other many people who actually built a light speed ship in a position to benefit from it? It was literally the most precious thing in the solar system at that time. Cheng Xin just wakes up in it with AA and never really questions it afterwards. Cao Bin clearly already had a plan for her to go to Pluto, take some treasures and then leave the solar system. But why her? She did not even remotely deserve it imo.

Am I missing something?
