No. Because you don't believe in zero-sum thinking. You believe that there are workable solutions to problems. Solutions that can be found using dialogue, trust-building, and slow progress.

Remember, also, that humanity's salvation was not in defeating the Trisolarans. Or in destroying Trisolaris. It was in becoming a Black Body Domain that signaled to the universe that we are not a threat. This technology only became possible when Wade used Cheng Xin's resources to develop lightspeed ships. But humanity, not Cheng Xin, stifled this route to salvation because humanity felt the Bunkers were enough.

Three-Body Problem is fundamentally an iterated Prisoner's Dilemma, but everyone else in the universe is playing Grim Trigger. Cheng Xin made the correct strategic choices. No one could have done better given the constraints.
