Toxicity of Beth and Randall
Post Body

I started watching this show in Season 4 and I really liked these and their dynamic. But, I've been binging from the beginning and the more I see the more I see this is so unhealthy. Randall brought a stranger into the house without asking Beth. Then he basically strong arms her into fostering. Deja goes back with her mom and Beth wants to enjoy one night at Kate's Bachelorette party and Randall is hounding her about what at the time seems like a nonissue. A seemingly innocuous call, and he makes her the bad guy because she's not concerned about a child that's not even theirs. Randall wants to buy a dilapidated building so they do. While they're both unemployed he runs for a city council in a state where they don't even live. Somehow they finance that and that's fine, but Beth who was FIRED, wants to do something she actually loves and he says, you have to quit that doesn't pay enough. I quit my job without consulting you and ran for city council instead of getting a job comparable to my prior one, so we'd be in a good place because I get whatever I want, but you can't teach dance which you love because someone has to be there for the kids, which I don't care about as long as I'm doing what I want. He springs on her last minute that he wants her to come to this dinner with him, and is completely unreasonable when she wants to go out with people from work and maybe advance her prospects at the company. Randall makes messes and Beth has to fix his messes and support him throughout all his craziness then is asked to sacrifice, so Randall can get what he wants. Beth Pearson deserves a special place in TV heaven. Does anyone else feel some type of way about their relationship looking at things from Season 1?
