e485 Upgrades

Hi! So, after much back and forth, I decided it was time to upgrade from my t430 (what a great machine!). Anyway, I opted for the better screen and Ryzen 5 version of the e485 but thought Lenovo was overpriced on ram and SSD upgrades.
What m.2 NVMe and RAM upgrades do you suggest?
It's shipping with 4gb DDR4 2400 but I can't tell if it's x8 or x16.
As for the HDD, I plan on slapping in a M.2 NVMe, but I'm also debating on just taking out the 500gb HDD all together and putting in a 500gb SSD 2.5"
