X220: Top lid repair

Has anyone found a good way to repair the top lid of the X220?
There's a section of plastic just in front of the "Lenovo" and "ThinkPad" logos which is separate to the main part of the lid. On my top lid and every spare I've been able to find, that part of the lid is broken away on at least one side.
Is there a good way to repair this? I've tried JB Weld and most of it stuck to the magnet, the rest failed after the first use. Superglue didn't work at all, and plastic weld didn't either.
