I got an IdeaPad 320 for Christmas. Immediately had problems with it, sent it in for repairs under warranty. Motherboard, heat sink and fan were replaced. Started using it again around March.
Every few weeks or days, it will freeze completely. First the mouse will stop moving, then the keyboard, then everything. Screen stays locked. All this will happen without warning in the space of two seconds. It's become more frequent after a hard drive update that the computer pushed on me, but the problem existed before that.
Some things to note: It runs on Windows 10. I disabled all updates, only because it would just start updating out of the blue and kick me out of whatever I was doing, destroying hours of work.
It isn't overheating. I put my hand to the fan area and it's always cool/fairly quiet when this happens. I don't use it to play games, and when it freezes I don't even have that much open (two internet browsers, Skype and digital art software).
I honestly can't think of anything else that might be causing it. Any help would be hugely appreciated as I use this computer to work from home and it's all I have.
Thanks in advance!
