So I've found a local listing selling a office-used T490s with the following specs for $180
Processor: Intel Core i5 vPro, 8th Gen
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 256GB
Display: 14-inch
I'm wondering if this is a decent deal. I'm a Computer Science student taking a Graphics course and a Networking course this semester. The graphics course is mainly using SFML/OpenGL and probably won't get too heavy, and the networking course will use software like Wireshark and the GNS3 emulator software which the professor says works better with more RAM.
I'm trying to keep my budget at around $200, willing to go to 250 or a bit higher though. Just trying to find a decent Thinkpad that can run the software locally comfortably, it will mostly be plugged in, and one I can take back and forth to school and possibly bang it up without worrying haha. I'm open to suggestions too.
Edit: As I'm typing this I've found a listing for a X1 Yoga Gen 5 i7/16gb for $220 with no charger. Seems like there's a lot of choices at this price range. Would appreciate some wisdom. TIA
