Hello. I have a Lenovo X1Carbon gen 11 with the computer vision and IR camera, and the camera has recently started failing after a Lattice AI firmware update failed.
Previously the camera had issues with it not being detected but this was fixed with an MCU firmware update.
Now after installing Lattice AI firmware update version 1.39.605.1122, the firmware update for Lattice AI fails and now my camera is not being detected again.
I have installed and reinstalled basically every driver related to the camera.
Device manager says for Lattice AI Device:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Device Timeout}The specified I/O operation on %hs was not completed before the time-out period expired.
I believe that the Lattice AI Device is now showing up as an unknown device in device manager now, as they both have the same location of Intel(R) Usb Bridge.Â
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT 12/3 : Removed Lattice AI Device from device manager and removed driver: Now is nowhere to be found in device manager. Camera still dosen't work. Firmware update for Lattice AI Device still dosen't work.Â
Additionally, for Integrated Camera, and Integrated IR Camera, device manager is claimingÂ
Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.
The MCU firmware update now does not fix the camera either.
Additionally, I have restored from a backup from 1 week with Macrium Reflect. However, the camera is still not working with the same errors.
I have heard of entire computers being bricked by BIOS updates, but not individual devices due to driver updates. Is this even possible and if so, would another driver update fix the malfunctioning camera?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I made the same post on the Lenovo forums, but so far no one has been able to fix the problem either.
