Hey all, I've noticed some interesting things on the second playthrough. Has anyone else? I think the game knows that this is my second time through. Please join me in documenting some of these interesting points here before I forget them.
-For starters, I was able to skip major parts (at least for my first play) of the story, jumping right to act 3 with only a couple hours of playing. I'm pretty sure I never did act 2.
-There was some dialogue right in the beginning that seemed like several of the main characters had seen me before.
-Also, the arcade is open and letting me play the games. In my first play, this didn't unlock until the last act of the game.
-Also, the coroner (a-who!) didn't creepy spy on me, not sure if that was a bug or not but it creeped me out the first go around.
Odds and ends:
-I saw a weird cutscene of nothing at all happening at the quickie pal. what's that about?
-I feel like there's something about the red lights in the bathroom and the "murderer" before Boris gets knocked out at the bridge. Any thoughts?
-I tried (as Franklin) giving the kid the orange bear to see if there's any continuity errors(since Boris has the orange bear on him in the opening). There weren't. I'm gonna load from a save and see what happens if I give the kid the blue bear (on the bed in a cut scene sometime early and again later when investigating Franklin's room).
-Has anyone else noticed some weird stuff on replays? RG referenced multiple endings; the forums seem pretty divided on whether he meant the minor little changes one can make at the very end or if there are rare ending(s) most of us haven't discovered.
For me? I think it's way possible that there's something more than we see. I wonder what's going on with the text adventure game. I wonder what's going on with the shed (was not part of maniac mansion). I think there's an avalanche of specific tips regarding (very BASIC, lol) programming and I wonder if there's something to be unlocked or edited in our game files.
Well, let me know your thoughts and theories, even the weird ones! Also, I apparently have a unique take on who the murderer is, but I'll save that for a spoiler thread.
