Witcher 3 Music score is what ultimately got me to purchase the game and decide to play it.

Post Body

Big fan of The Witcher Netflix Show and the setting. Just tons of lore and adventure to be enjoyed. I had a friend who ran a tabletop RPG in the setting no less using Zweihander rules. 8 people at the table enjoying The Witcher universe, it was great. Despite this, I was not really interested in the video games due to hearing they are kind of long and difficult. Never mind I do not like the combat systems and rather play turn based than button smasher.

Unironically for years I pulled up some relaxing OST music to chill and play video games with or meditate with and several of them were OST's from The Witcher 3. I kid you not when I say the Witcher OST's are my default background music or relaxing at home reading, writing, or meditating. I joined thewitcher3 reddit solely for all the beautiful screen shots you guys' post most of the time. The game, for being made almost 10 years ago, still looks beautiful. I thought there is no way that the game actually looks that good.

For years listening to these OST's and seeing all the screen shots I finally broke down when I saw Witcher series on Steam sale and purchased the whole series for giggles. I cue up Witcher 3 and lord n behold, I get into the first part of the prologue in White Orchard and literally just spend hours walking around listening to the music and take in the sights.

I am still in White Orchard on my first run with about 20 hours of gameplay... just exploring and listening to music. I will probably never beat the game (I kind of want to progress to just listen to the other music scores in the various areas) but I still think it was worth the money to just walk around in a beautiful scenery of the Witcher and listen to great OSTs.

What are your thoughts? What made all of you buy the game and play it? For me it was literally just to walk around and look at the game while listening to the music.
